Connect your EID reader
Connect your reader to the FlockFinder app on your phone, then check it reads your tags.

On your phone
Charge the reader and turn it on. Keep it near your phone.
Close any other app the reader is connected to. It can only send tags to one app at a time.
In FlockFinder, tap the Bluetooth icon on Home. You can also connect from inside a scanning or weighing session.
Tap Find nearby readers.
Tap your reader under Nearby readers.
Under Test a tag, scan a tag you know. Check the number on screen matches the tag. Test scans do not add animals.
Tap Done.
Next time
Open the same screen and tap Reconnect. Keep FlockFinder open while you scan.
Reader settings
Most readers work as they come. If yours does not, check these settings in its menu or manual:
- FlockFinder FDX Reader: nothing to set.
- Gallagher HR0: nothing to set. Bluetooth is on whenever the reader is on.
- Shearwell SDL440S: check the label says SDL440S. Set it to send tag numbers as decimal, with a line ending.
- Tru-Test SRS2i, XRS2i and XRP2i: turn on Bluetooth and choose the BLE connection. Set it to send tag numbers as decimal, with a line ending.
- Agrident / Allflex AWR250 and AWR300: go to Setup, then Interface Setup, then Bluetooth. Choose Slave Mode and the BLE profile. Turn on online output, and set tag numbers to decimal with a line ending.
